Restroom and Shared Spaces Policy
Purpose:
This policy outlines the guidelines and expectations regarding the upkeep of shared spaces, particularly restrooms, within the 2A Marketing office. It emphasizes the importance of cleanliness in projecting a professional image and ensuring the comfort of both team members and clients alike.
Scope:
This policy applies to all 2A Marketing team members, contractors, and visitors.
Policy Statement:
1. Shared Spaces Responsibility: Shared spaces, including restrooms, represent 2A Marketing’s commitment to professionalism, respect, and consideration. (Often times when a person goes to a new restaurant the first thing they do is head to the restroom to see if they are clean or not. If they are not it gives a bad first impression and makes one think that if they don’t upkeep their restrooms they probably don’t upkeep their kitchen very well either.)
It is every individual’s responsibility to maintain these spaces in a manner that reflects our high standards.
2. Restroom Upkeep: Given the monthly frequency of professional cleaning services, the day-to-day upkeep of restrooms rests with the users. After using the restroom:
– Ensure that all used items are properly disposed of.
– Wipe down surfaces if any spills or splashes occur.
– Scrub the toilet bowl if any waste is not flushed
– Report any non-functioning fixtures to Jon or Eric.
3. First Impressions: Every corner and workstation in our office, especially shared spaces, plays a role in the impressions we create for our clients, partners, and new team members. As such, it is crucial to ensure these areas remain clean, tidy, and presentable at all times.
4. Reporting Concerns: Should employees notice recurring issues or neglect in shared spaces, they are encouraged to report this to their supervisor or the office management team for prompt resolution.
5. Policy Violation: Regular neglect or failure to uphold the cleanliness standards set in this policy may result in corrective action, up to and including disciplinary measures, as determined by Jon and Eric.
