Dear Vendor,
2A Marketing thanks you for your hard work. Your work helps us grow and in return gives you more work! As we grow we are coming up with more processes to help us systematically and efficiently manage websites.
Please use the below rules as your bible. All rules must be met to work with 2A Marketing. We will not approve a website as finished unless every single rule below is followed.
Web Design Rules
- Consistent Formatting
Always use consistent formatting throughout a project- All phone numbers are to be consistent if (816) 454-3432 then use exact same format on all numbers. If 816.454.4332 then use this on all numbers.
- All text items are treated with the same format ALWAYS
- Text Blocks and h1, h2, h3 tags
On website title headers using Salient WP Bakery Page builder NEVER use anything but “text blocks” for titles. SEE FIGURE 1Always set the Typography under Salient Typography for H1, H2s and H3s then only use tags in text boxes. <h1> Most Important Headlines<h1> SEE FIGURE 1A(That way we have more control over mobile functionality by setting the Responsive tags to be smaller on mobile – this is not possible when using the custom text tools where you set font size in the page builder) - Global Section
For any website content element that is used on more than one page ALWAYS use the Global Sections so that when in the future a change is needed you only need to make the change once!
4. Mobile Design
Always use the columns responsive settings, no need to write your own css to hide columns on desktop and or show them on mobile. Click here for a guide if you are unfamiliar with the Salient WP Bakery Page builder’s mobile editing.
5. Custom CSS
Don’t write Custom CSS – try hard to only use the power of Salient WP Bakery Page Builder
6. Never disable the automatic copyright in the Salient Footer section options. We want this to change automatically each year.
7. Proofing your own work is a must.
a. Testing on your actual mobile device and looking for alignment, padding, and margin issues – anything that doesn’t look perfect should be fixed as mobile in general is where most people are viewing most websites.
*Missing these items could result in disciplinary actions
